Freehand
A lot of Jamie’s projects are created freehand - meaning he draws from his own drawings, photography and experiences to create the project directly onto the skin. It is important for Jamie to feel a connection to what he is creating and so a lot of his inspiration comes from his experiences in nature.
For freehand sessions, clients can take references from Jamie’s work which you can see below, with which he will take inspiration for the project. At the beginning of the session he discusses the project and sketches the form directly onto the skin with pens where he then collaborates with the client to create the final design.
There is plenty room for input from clients on the design, but a certain amount of trust in the process is required to get the best result for this method of working.
